This workshop will provide participants with the knowledge necessary to comply with tax regulations in Washington and manage their businesses in a tax-efficient manner. Topics to be addressed in the workshop:

• Registration with WADOR: You will learn how to properly register with the Washington State Department of Revenue (WADOR), an essential step to begin complying with your tax obligations.
• Creating an account on WADOR: You will be taught how to set up an online account with WADOR, making it easier to file returns and track your business transactions.
• Different tax rates: You will understand the various sales tax rates that may apply depending on the location and the type of product or service you offer.
•  Validation of the preparer's report: You will learn how to verify whether the tax preparer is completing the report appropriately and accurately, thus ensuring compliance with your tax obligations.
• Businesses and services exempt from sales taxes: You'll learn what types of businesses and services may be exempt from certain sales taxes, which can help you plan your operations more effectively.
• Reseller Permit: You will learn about the Reseller Permit and its importance for companies that purchase products for resale and/or for contractors. This allows you to purchase products without paying sales taxes.
• Payment of taxes as a wholesaler: You will be explained the differences for WADOR when reporting as a retailer or whosaler for a general contractor.
